How to login into Blackboard CE 6 shell (Summer 08)

Please go to http://sjsu6.blackboard.com/

Your User name is your 9-digit SJSU ID, the same ID you use to log into MySJSU. (Note: We are no longer using the "W" ID like we used to with WebCT 4.1.5).
Your password is the current term: e.g. summer (lower case).

Note: If you have used Blackboard before your password remains the same. you would use "spring" or what ever password that you have used for your Spring Blackboard shells.

Your User name and Password are case-sensitive.

As soon as you login into your Blackboard shell you will see a list of current courses that you are enrolled in.

Please go to "My settings" and change your password. The system will ask you to set up a secret question. It is good for you to set up a new password. Next time when you forget your password you have to click on "Forgot your password?" link and the system will send you a new password via e-mail.

You can also contact IT Support Services: 924-2377, helpdesk@sjsu.edu if you forget your password.

Please click on the "Check Browser" link on the top right to check your browser settings. Once you click on the link, it will do a browser check for you and let you know what you need to download. Follow the instructions and once you have everything installed, you should be able to view all the content in your shell.

Please remember that your instructor can not reset your password for you.
