The College of Business at San Jose State University (SJSU) offers an exciting new development, the Silicon Valley Business Stars Program (SVBSP). The Program aims specifically to provide visiting business students, corporate executives, technical professionals, and government officials throughout the world a unique and memorable learning experience about high-tech development and global business management in the Silicon Valley.

The Program takes advantage of not only the extensive educational resources of SJSU and successful practical experiences of leading Silicon Valley industries, but also

The special knowledge-bases of SJSU's International Business Incubator, the Software Technology Incubator, the Entrepreneur Network, and other business and technology incubators of Silicon Valley

The unique insights of the SJSU's Silicon Valley Cultural Project, a study of the many cultures living and working in the hi-tech communities of the region
The powerful expertise of the Metropolitan Technology Center jointly developed by the National Administration of Space and Aeronautics (NASA), SJSU, University of California at Santa Cruz, and Carnegie Mellon University.

The Program will offer both general and customized certificated short courses on high-tech development and global business management combined with informative orientation and site visits to major Silicon Valley industries as well as business networking and social/cultural contact opportunities.

New frontiers of Silicon Valley on high technology and global business management

We will conduct the first General short course for visiting business students on August 2-20, 2004, as well as several customized short courses for professional managers and senior executives throughout 2004. A tentative schedule for the General short course and sample schedules for the Advanced and Executive short courses are attached.
