Bus 294 is an excellent opportunity to apply the business skills you have acquired throughout your MBA. You will be a top executive in a simulated company making weekly decisions to respond to the dynamic changes and demands of the market in which you operate. As this is a competition, your focused involvement is critical for success.

This class is a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders to get a taste of the intensity required of these roles. As the saying goes, “no pain, no gain.”

Principle Comment from 2006 Participants
Teamwork

“The most important lesson that I learned is the value of teamwork and working well together.”

“I felt that the technical and functional knowledge components of the game were the easy part. The more challenging aspect was the team’s ability to work efficiently and effectively. In essence, it’s a self-managed team exercise.”

Personal rewards “This class is probably the most intense and yet rewarding experience in the MBA education. I have gained lots of valuable insights on how to run a start up company.”
Applying business principles “Playing the game was one of the most rewarding experiences at SJSU. Most of the concepts that I had learned throughout the semesters became applicable and a necessity during the game.”
Intense commitment “I enjoyed the class, my team, and the instructor. Overall, it was a good experience. On the flip side, the class took much more time than I anticipated.”
