Meetings

The purpose of the user group is that of mutual support. We want our members to have a forum where they can go and ask questions as well as have an opportunity to be introduced to new ideas and concepts.

Meetings are held from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Of course, we may go a little overtime, but that shoudl give you some guidelines.

Our meetings will follow one of two formats:

The first is a general discussion format.  For these meetings, the chair may have some ideas to discuss, but will encourage questions from the members. Since this is a new programming environment and has a huge number of features, it is quite likely that other members may actually come up and answer questions as well as the chair.  In fact, member participation of this type is encouraged.

The second type will be that of a featured speaker.  In these cases, we will start with some Q&A and then have the main presentation.

Again, the purpose is to be an interactive organization where our members can interact and participate on a variety of levels.

When meeting in the BBC location, please keep in mind that other classes may often be in session. DO NOT talk loudly in the cooridors. Also, no food or drink (other than bottled water) may be brought to the meetings.  In most cases, we will have power outlets and internet connections available for your use at each desk.

When meeting at the Martin Luther King Libarary, please keep in mind that this is a library and to act appropriatly. Unlike the classrooms, food and drink are allowed in the library.
