Suresh Ahuja began his career in teaching after 28+ years of experience in the Treasury/Finance area of a major US money center bank. During this time he was posted in five different countries and held the title of Managing Director/Treasurer.

Suresh Ahuja's last posting, was in Hong Kong where he held the job of Asia Division Treasurer responsible for managing market risk across 12 countries in Asia and funding the bank's loan portfolio. His responsibilities included heading the Asset Liability Management Committee and formulating strategies to raise capital for the parent company from capital markets across Asia. The job also entailed financial planning and forecasting, investing, cash management, structuring financial transactions, building trading capability, hiring and training trading staff, building a customer base, and maintaining relationships with individual central banks.
