Dr. Yudhi Ahuja, Ph.D.

Former Senior Human Resource Development (HRD) Advisor to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Prof. Yudhi Ahuja is an expert in the field of management education, quantitative techniques, academic administration and institutional development. He has over thirty years of experience in teaching, training, research, consultancy and management of academic activities at institutions in India and abroad. Prof. Ahuja is associated as Visiting Professor at reputed management institutes in India& U.S.A. and is a featured speaker at numerous conferences being held through 2004-05.

Prior to his current engagements, Prof. Ahuja was the Dean of the MBit Institute of Technology and Management (New Delhi) from 2000-04. Before joining MBit, he was the Director/Professor (MBA program) at the Amity University and Dean of the India Center, Wigan and Leigh College (UK). Prof. Ahuja is associated with numerous professional associations and management institutions such as the All India Management Association., Indian Society for Training and Development (awarded Fellowship) and the Delhi School of Communications in their teaching programs and other professional activities. His teaching career in the last ten years has focused specifically on Quantitative Techniques, Research Methodology, General Management & Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management for MBA/BBA students and business executives from the industry.

Prof. Ahuja has gained diverse, international experience through extensive involvement with the ILO, UNESCO, World Bank and UNDP. He is credited with strengthening and developing the Seychelles Institute of Management. Institutional development has been his specialization through various national and international assignments. He has the rare distinction of being acknowledged as an expert in human resource management for designing manpower and education systems and institutional development in India, Bahrain, Oman, the Philippines, Mauritius and Seychelles.

Prof. Ahuja completed his Doctorate in Statistics from Delhi University, India. He was trained by ILO/UNESCO in human resource development, educational planning and has numerous publications to his credit. He was honored as a speaker by the 7th World Congress on Total Quality (Feb. 1997, New Delhi). His paper on 'Managing Business Schools for Sustainable Performance' was published in Total Quality Management published by Tata McGraw Hill. His subsequent presentation on 'Changing Environment and its Impact on Human Resources' at international forums received special recognition. In May 2004, he presented a paper on 'Human Dimensions in Corporate Governance' at an international conference in New Delhi organized by the Foundation of Indian Industry & Economists in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers and MBA students of Indo-American Business School. He was invited by the World Council for Corporate Governance to present the same paper in London, UK.

As an active member of the Board of various professional bodies, Prof. Ahuja has made substantial contributions in their teaching/training programs for industry executives. He is also on the Expert Committee of national agencies responsible for ISO quality certification.

Prof. Ahuja is widely accepted as an authority on human resources, quantitative techniques and development of professional institutes.
