Message from the COB Alumni Network president Paul Bagan

WELCOME to the new College of Business Alumni Network! Many of you may have known us by our previous name, "The College of Business Alumni Association" and to you, welcome back. We are extremely happy to let all of you know we have joined forces with the broader San Jose State University Alumni Association effective March 1st . This is a great move As it allows us to leverage a rich and wonderful new set of University resources to help resources to help us fulfill our mission of:

• Serving the needs of our alumni and future alumni,
• Enhancing the reputation of the College of Business,
• Encouraging community contacts and support of the College of Business

Through our new partnership structure, we'll be able to stay in touch more frequently through this web site and through the many additional communication services that we will now be able to utilize as part of our the broader University Alumni Association relationship. We'll aationship. We'll also be able to capitalize on a wider range of alumni events , including those being specifically created and launched in support of celebrating SJSU's 150th Year Anniversary (We'll plan on seeing many of you at those events too!). While there will be many new areas of collaboration and leverage between our organization and the broader Alumni Association, we'll continue to independently drive focused programs around: promoting excellence in academic performance through awarding stuh awarding student scholarships, publicly recognizing our outstanding alumni , building community and College of Business social network events, and actively sponsoring the annual College of Business Awards banquet where the College's outstanding students and faculty are acknowledged publicly in this gala event.

The Board and I are excited about this new phase in our journey to serve our University, College, students , and alumni. We hope that you stay in touch and that we see you throughout te you throughout the year at our many social and networking events.
