Common Student Concerns

The decision to come to the United States to pursue your MBA is a major one, and it can be kind of scary. “At first sight, I thought about how I would spend my whole year with all these people that I don’t know,” says Belis, an economics major from Ankara, Turkey. “But now I don’t know what I was afraid of. After a couple of weeks we became very close friends. I am studying very hard and quickly assimilating to life in the US.”
“It has been a challenge to get here, but I know it will pay off in the end, whether I stay in the U.S. or move back home.”
Once you’ve earned your MBA, you will be equipped to work in any company, anywhere around the globe.  Jeanette, from the Philippines, isn’t sure if she’ll stay in the Bay area after graduation. But if she goes back home, she knows that with her MBA from San Jose State University, she’ll be able to land a great job. “People with MBA degrees
from U.S. universities are very much in demand in the Philippines,” says Jeanette. “It has been a challenge to get here, but I know it will pay off in the end, whether I stay in the U.S. or move back home.”
