A Message from the Chair…

Dear Stakeholders,

Welcome to the Organization and Management Department (O&M)! We are delighted that you are visiting our homepage, and would like to invite you to stay a few minutes and get to know us better.

Our Faculty: O&M has over thirty-five full time tenured and tenure-track faculty members and over thirty adjunct faculty members. The department boasts a diverse group of high caliber faculty in terms of both teaching effectiveness and research productivity. Quite a number of them can be considered faculty celebrities, having received recognition as President's Scholar, University Outstanding Professor, Distinguished Service Award, Lucas Leadership Endowed Professor, and other honors in a variety of fields.

Our Programs: O&M has three academic concentrations: Human Resource Management, International Business, and Management. The three concentrations offer thirty-five different courses with over one hundred class sections to accommodate the diverse needs of students. All courses and programs emphasize basic core competencies and Silicon Valley industry connections.

Our Students: Our three concentrations attract over 3,000 enrolled students. Our students are our pride; they reflect the great diversity of California - and indeed, of the United States and the world. Our thousands of graduates have taken what they learned here and applied it to achieve success in a wide range of careers.

Our Staff: We have a smiling faculty- and student-friendly staff. They stand ready to assist us all in whatever ways necessary to further student success and faculty excellence.

The College: O&M operates as the largest department in the College of Business (CoB). As an institution of opportunity for the Silicon Valley, CoB emphasizes all-inclusive excellence for a diversified student population with the goal of helping you achieve career success.
