Joe Giglierano's Personal Profile

 

Joe Giglierano, Professor of Marketing, San Jose State University, received his Ph.D. in Business Administration, major in Marketing, from Ohio State University in 1987. He has taught customer behavior, new venture marketing, marketing management, retail marketing management, and on-line marketing at the undergraduate level. He has also taught marketing management, technology marketing, and new venture marketing in the MBA program, and "value creation" (a combination of operations and marketing management) in the Master of Science in Accountancy program.


Joe's principal areas of research are in marketing and entrepreneurship, and in innovation management. His research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Venturing, Industrial Marketing Management, the Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and others. He is a regular contributor to the Annual UIC / AMA Symposium on Research at the Marketing / Entrepreneurship Interface. He is past chair of the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Interest Group and currently serves on its board of directors.

 

Joe served as Chair of the SJSU Department of Marketing and Decision Sciences and as Interim Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies for the SJSU College of Business.
