Admission Requirements for International Students

To be admitted to SJSU's Business Graduate Business Programs, an international applicant must have:

  1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university;
     
  2. A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) in the last 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) of course work from an accredited school
     
  3. Obtained a score of 500 or better with both verbal and quantitative scores in the 50th percentile or above on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).   4. Applicants, regardless of citizenship, whose preparatory education was principally in a language other than English, must demonstrate competence in English.  Applicants who do not possess a bachelor or master's degree from a postsecondary institution where English is the principal language of instruction, must receive a minimum score of 550 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based), and 79 (internet based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language exam (TOEFL).  SJSU will accept only the exam given by the Educational Testing Service.
