Honors Program: Admissions

Thank you for your interest in the Gary J. Sbona Honors Program in the College of Business. You will work together in teams with other similarly qualified students on a significant and meaningful project at a major corporation in the Silicon Valley. This program will differentiate you from the rest of the students from any other University when applying for a job.

Many of our Sbona Honors Program students are also eligible for university-wide honors such as President’s Scholars and graduation Cum Laude. Eligibility for these honors is given by the SJSU honors website.

An essay of no more than 500 words explaining what you would contribute to and what you expect to get out of your Honors Program Experience
Minimum GPA of 3.25 or above for self-nomination; or
Minimum GPA of 3.0 with a letter of recommendation, from a faculty member in the department of the applicant's major
Minimum of two semesters of course work at SJSU
An applicant must complete any pre-requisites, as specified for their major.
