General Information This is an upper division accounting course focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of database accounting information systems using the REA architecture. Hands-on project-oriented computer lab to develop working knowledge and skills in using Microsoft Access as an application development tool. Students design a prototype accounting system. Students are encouraged to make full use of the internet and computer technologies. For example, communication between the student, the instructor and other students is facilitated through the use of the e-mail, Discussion and Chat Room functions in Blackboard, which we will be exploring as we proceed through the course(a set of tools that facilitate learning, communication and collaboration through the use of the Internet and computers). Access the Blackboard course: Bus 120B Advanced AIS and IS Risk Assessment Enter your 9 digit Student ID as your Blackboard ID. Your student ID can be found on the back of your Tower ID card. Enter your password. Your password is "fall". Once you have logged in, you can click on "My Settings" on the top and click on "Change Password" under My Profile to change your password. Please keep your password simple and easy to understand. Please remember that, unlike WebCT, I can not reset your password for you. Therefore, make sure that you also set a secret question to assist you in case you forget your password. Please click on the "Check Browser" link on the top right to check your browser settings. Once you click on the link, it will do a browser check for you and let you know what you need to download. Follow the instructions and once you have everything installed, you should be able to view all the content in your shell.
