General Information This course focuses on various issues surrounding electronic business including the underlying technological framework, the design and maintenance of information systems within an e-business environment, and the impacts e-business issues on IS design and internal controls. IMPORTANT!! Please visit Blackboard asap. Follow the instructions contained in the hyperlink at the left and login to WebCT and get acquainted with this tool. We will be using it throughout the course for communication purposes. You will also find that I have your assignments already uploaded there.
Access the Blackboard course: Enter your 9 digit Student ID as your Blackboard ID. Your student ID can be found on the back of your Tower ID card. Enter your password. Your password is your 4 digit pin number. Usually the pin number is the month and day of your birthday. For example, if your date of birth is January 7th, your pin number is 0107. If it does not work please contact IT Support Services: 924-2377, helpdesk@sjsu.edu. Once you have logged in, you can click on "My Settings" on the top and click on "Change Password" under My Profile to change your password. Please keep your password simple and easy to understand. Please remember that, unlike WebCT, I can not reset your password for you. Therefore, make sure that you also set a secret question to assist you in case you forget your password. Please click on the "Check Browser" link on the top right to check your browser settings. Once you click on the link, it will do a browser check for you and let you know what you need to download. Follow the instructions and once you have everything installed, you should be able to view all the content in your shell. If you have any problems logging on into Blackboard, Please call the "Help Desk" at 408-924-2377 or send an email to helpdesk@sjsu.edu. Important!! Please note that I reserve the right to make changes to the syllabus as the semester proceeds. The schedule or assignments may be changed during the semester.
