PowerPoint Assignment
(10 points possible)
Follow
the instructions below to create 4 slides (or more, if you feel creative) based
on the Coffee Shop theme.
After you create your presentation
slides, use the summary slide feature to generate a summary slide. Also, use
graphic elements from your Drawing Fun assignment.
1. Create
a title slide that states your presentation topic (in the Title text box). For
example, “Java Cafe”,
or “My Coffee Shop”. Then in the Subtitle text box, place your name, and your
section number (on a separate
line). Use a different text size and font for each of the three lines.
2. The
second slide should list the items in your coffee shop’s menu. There are 2 main
groups: Food and Beverage.
(These should be at level one of your bulleted lists.) Under Food, list
Sandwiches, Soup/Salads, and Deserts.
(These are at level two, indented below Food.) Under Beverage, list Coffee, Tea,
Beer/Wine, Juice and Soft
Drinks. (These are at level two, indented below Beverage.)
3. The
third slide should contain the logo and the Clip Art with
Callout you created in the Drawing Fun
assignment. Simply copy these graphic elements from your Word file and copy them
here.
4. The
fourth slide should contain additional text information and a graphic. For the
graphic element, you may
copy the Pie chart from your Excel Charts assignment, or create something else.
Your text in this slide
should be relevant to your graphic.
5. Each
slide must have an appropriate title as well as the contents listed above.
6. Create
a summary slide - use the summary slide feature. (Hints – Create this slide
last, after you have
completed the other slides. The icon for
creating summary slides is on the toolbar in the slide sorter
view.
You must select some slides before this icon becomes active.) Do not edit this
summary slide; leave
it the way it is created by PowerPoint.
7.
Move the
summary slide to the end of the presentation.
8.
Add date,
time, and slide numbers to the slides. (Hint: This is a Footer,
so look on the View menu.)
9.
Add
transition effects to all slides, and the slides should be advanced not
on mouse click, but automatically after 2 seconds.
10.
Add (custom)
animation effect to at least one element of each slide. The
animation effect should
start after previous.
11. Add a background color or picture, or apply a design template, to the slides.
12.
Set up to
run the set of slides such that it loops continuously until ‘Esc’ is hit.
(Hints – Select Slide Show->
Set Up Show…menu and check the Loop continuously until ‘Esc’
option.)
