Welcome to the BUS 120C Site Web Page, this page is designed for students who have enrolled in the BUS 120C AIS Business Network Environment and Controls Course. Students are requested to visit this section of the site and look for announcements and updates to the class. It is suggested that students visit this site at least once a week and two to three days prior to the course to look for announcements, and course updates. Since half of the class is in lecture format, and lectures are based on the Panko Book Power Point or Adobe Acrabat Presentations, you are encouraged to download your materials ahead of class and review prior to the lecture. This will help you prepare for the class and have a better understand of the materials. Additionally, students are encouraged to form study groups to better understand the concepts discussed during the lectures and prepare for the tests. All PowerPoint presentations are zipped in Winzip format. These download PowerPoint presentations are in Winzip 8.0 self-extracting executables, thereby will not require that you to download Winzip software. However, it is highly recommended that you do that from http://www.winzip.com. It is possible that you may not be able to download these self-extracting PowerPoint presentations from work because they are executables. Therefore you should complete the download from home or at the University. Secondly, you should arrange with your professor to set up time to work on the Windows 2000 Server and prepare for your test and final. All pages except the Course News, and Home Pages are encrypted, and you will new the instructor to get the password to access those pages. Lastly, but not the least, please read the following information regarding your grades: The instructor reserves the rights to award a certain grade to the course based upon the average, median, and other information available to the instructor and deemed fair and legitimate to the instructor. The instructor will show, at various times during the course, the students’ attendance, test, and project grades. The students have the responsibility to validate their grades before the final, and discuss with the instructor prior to the final examination. The instructor will not entertain any grade change requests after the final. The instructor will not answer any question regarding why a student is assigned a certain grade, and all grades will be final. Enjoy your class! |
