Dr.
Malos’ Add & Drop—Policy
• Students wishing to add should consult
the relevant greensheet posted on the course website for enrollment
criteria and simply show up on the
first day of class (there is no “waiting list” other than the official one
maintained by CMS on MySJSU). Please do not call, email, or otherwise
contact me in advance seeking to add; I cannot add anyone until I assess total
demand, including the number of registered students who fail to attend the
first session. (Any attempts to influence me to add you because of your
“special circumstances” will simply annoy me and reduce your chances
accordingly!)
• I will typically announce at the
beginning of the first session whether adds will be
considered and the likely odds of adding should space appear to be available. I
also reserve the right to determine that adding more students to a particular
course may negatively impact my ability to deliver high quality education to
those students already enrolled, and that adds therefore will not be accepted.
• No adds will be
approved the first day; if adds are to be considered and the number of
students wishing to add exceeds available space, a list will be developed based
on major and graduation date. HR majors have priority for undergraduate HR
classes. Those wishing to add can expedite the process by obtaining
documentation relative to graduation date and/or completion of any
prerequisites from MySJSU [transcripts], BSAC [undergraduates], or your
respective graduate program office [non-MBA grad students, please see http://www.sjsu.edu/lucasschool/docs/New_Policy.pdf].
• Any
registered student who misses the first day of class without a
compelling, documented reason, approved in advance,
will be dropped in order to make
space available for students wishing to add.
Note: To maintain eligibility to add, students must
attend every class and complete all assigned work.
• Students who decide to drop are asked
to notify the instructor as quickly as possible to create an opening for
another interested student. Students granted an add code are asked to use it as
soon as possible so that updated enrollment records may be obtained.
• Thank you in advance for your
cooperation!
