Our Mission
The mission of the MBAA is to promote student development and welfare, and to enhance the identity and perception of the MBA program, with emphasis on developing external relationships with alumni, faculty, and the business community.
The Donald and Sally Lucas Graduate School of Business MBA Association will represent the interests, needs, and concerns of conventional, off-campus, and executive style MBA programs at San Jose State. To undergo this function, the MBAA works first to develop a community involving all of the MBA students, then provide several programs to help MBA students grow as individuals, students, professionals, and leaders. These diverse programs will give the students opportunities to network and apply their superior business knowledge, and ultimately increase the value of an MBA from San Jose State University.
Visions of the MBAA
The Lucas School MBAA in comprised of several dedicated individuals with the following vision for the future growth and prosperity of the program:
- Annually grow the MBAA into an unmistakable asset to Silicon Valley's success and sustainability
- Involve and activate MBA students of all programs into numerous activities to increase and apply their business educational framework
- Continually increase the value of a MBA from San Jose State and its involvement with companies around Silicon Valley
- Work to improve the quality of life in San Jose and the surrounding regions through community service, public outreach, and creating jobs
