HONORS
PROGRAM:
Comprised of the top ten percent of Business majors, the Gary J.
Sbona Honors Program offers student participants unique
opportunities to work with industry professionals. The Honors
Practicum is at the center of the program, with participating
organizations sponsoring projects specifically designed for their
companies. In the past, students have completed projects for Subaru,
Target, Hewlett-Packard and Applied Materials. Honor students have
even sought out alien life-forms for client SETI.
During the spring 2008 semester, honor students will be working
directly with the CIA, performing a campus-wide campaign to raise
awareness about the government agency’s employment opportunities.
Honor students received a $2,500 stipend to initiate the project
aimed at recruitment of future CIA officers among the college crowd.
DECISION SCIENCES CERTIFICATE:
Spearheaded by Professor Ron Davis, our department is
introducing a new certificate program in Decision Sciences. The
certificate program is designed to give students an edge up in the
analytic side by focusing on the conceptual and mathematical aspects
of business and marketing. Business Statistics (BUS 90) is the only
requirement for eligibility. Please contact the Department of
Marketing & Decision Sciences at 924.3506 for more information.
