WHO WE ARE
SAM stands for the Society for Advancement of Management. It is a professional organization that seeks to create better managers through the interaction of students with faculty and business professionals.
It was founded over 85 years ago (making SAM the oldest professional management organization) to discuss and promote the principles of "scientific management."
SAM is an organization for all
fields who are interested in management. Membership is not limited to
business management majors.
OUR MISSION
At San Jose State University our mission is to provide an opportunity for the members to increase
management skills and expertise through participation in programs and services
designed to improve the professional quality of their knowledge, performance,
and leadership ability.
