SJSU Solar Workforce Project

Part of the SolarTech Workforce Innovations Collaborative

From July 2010 through June 2012, San José State University faculty are working to prepare students for careers in solar and other renewable energy companies in Silicon Valley and elsewhere in California.

SJSU is working with other partner organizations in the SolarTech Workforce Innovations Collaborative, including SolarTech, the Nova Workforce Board, and Foothill-DeAnza Community College District.

The faculty leading this project are Prof. Meghna Virick of the College of Business and Prof. James Mokri of the College of Engineering. The project was started in 2010 by Prof. Joel West, who is now a professor at the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Science, one of the Claremont Colleges.
