“ROMANCE 101” PowerPoint

Instructions           © Mike Splane 2007

Introduction

·        PowerPoint is a visual medium. It is great for pictures, sounds and motion. It is a poor way to present text. PowerPoint would be great for a Dick and Jane reader or a comic book. It’s a good idea to prepare handouts and limit text on the slides to key words.

·        There are three different Views. Use Normal view to edit individual slides. Use Slide Sorter view to work with multiple slides. Use Slide Show view to project the images. You can change Views from the view menu or using icons in the lower left.

·        Open the Toolbars list - right click on any toolbar. Open the Task Pane and open the drawing toolbar. The task pane contains sub menus that help you perform key tasks.
