Congratulations to the Winners of the 2009 Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition!!
We are pleased to announce the following prizes for the 2009 competition:
- Wanda Ginner First Prize Award: $10,000 - Rate the test.com - Ryan Guerrettaz.
- Larry Boucher Second Prize Award: $5,000 - Veggielution – Monica Lisa Benavides, Amie Frisch, Mark-Anthony Medeiros and Dennis Lozano.
- Dan Doles Third Prize Award: $2,500 - CRO Connect – Aditya Raghwa, Chandini Kalsy and Vidya Ramesh.
- Best Written Business Plan Award: $500 - DoCause – Ahmed Mahmoud, Yasir

Teams are also eligible for in kind awards such as free office space, coaching and mentoring.

The seventh annual Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition (SVBPC) spans the 2008-2009 academic year and culminates with the final round of judging in May 2009.
What is it?
- An annual forum designed to encourage innovation in the SJSU Community and reward student participation in new venture creation
- Organized to increase recognition of SJSU's contribution to entrepreneurship in the greater San Jose metropolitan area.
- An opportunity for you to get feedback from many sources (judges, professors, peers, industry professionals) on your ideas.
- A venue for you to explain and market your business plan to industry professionals.
- The SVBPC is open to SJSU students, faculty, staff, alumni.
