Shai is an Assistant Professor in the Management Information Systems (MIS) department in the College of Business at San Jose State University.

She has a Ph.D. in MIS from the University of Arizona. She has worked at Price Waterhouse (Mumbai, India), Tulane University (New Orleans, Lousiana), and Kanisa (a Knowledge Management startup in the Silicon Valley).

She is teaching 118W (Web based technologies) and 119B (Strategic Information Systems) in Fall 2008, and is working on research projects related to information retrieval, search engine valuation, web log analysis and impact of online information on impression formation.

Type your 9 digit Tower Card ID number. Please click here to view the instructions page with Screen Shots.

Type your 4 digit Pin number as your password. Usually the Pin number is the month and day of your birthday. If your date of birth is January 07th, the pin number would be 0107. If it does not work please contact IT Support Services: 924-2377, helpdesk@sjsu.edu.

As soon as you login into your Blackboard shell you will see a list of current courses that you are enrolled in.

Please go to "My settings" and change your password. The system will ask you to set up a secret question. It is good for you to set up a new password. Next time when you forget your password you have to click on "Forgot your password?" link and the system will send you a new password via e-mail. You can also contact IT Support Services: 924-2377, helpdesk@sjsu.edu if you forget your password. Please remember that your instructor can not reset your password for you.

Please click on the "Check Browser" link on the top right to check your browser settings. Once you click on the link, it will do a browser check for you and let you know what you need to download. Follow the instructions and once you have everything installed, you should be able to view all the content in your shell.
