Shai has a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.  She has worked at Price Waterhouse (Mumbai, India), Tulane University (New Orleans, Lousiana), and Kanisa (a Knowledge Management startup in the Silicon Valley).

She is teaching BUS 118W (Web based Technologies) in Fall 2011.  In the past, she has taught BUS 119B (Information Systems Strategy), BUS 110 (Introduction to MIS) and BUS 120A (Accounting Information Systems). 

Her research projects are related to information retrieval, search engine valuation, web log analysis, impact of online information on impression formation, use of cloud computing to deal with supply chain issues, and use of technology to improve K-12 Math education.
