Business/Technology News

English language web sites include:

• AsiaBizTech (a division of Japanese NikkeiBP) has business/technology news from China and the rest of East Asia, and good search of back issues. Most of the China coverage is from Xinhua, the official state news service
• ChinaNex covers the Chinese telecommunications industry, and has a great set of company profiles for major domestic and foreign firms
• China Online was once especially good for business, information technology and telecom news, but in 2001 converted to a paid-only site
• MadeForChina: market research company with online commentaries, particularly on Internet and telecom issues. The main product is an opt-in e-mail newsletter.
