Bio
Dr. John Yi is an Assistant Professor in the Marketing & Decision Sciences Department at San Jose State University. He comes to the university with over 10 years of industry experience from General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, and most recently, Sanofi-Aventis. He earned his Ph.D. from University of Pennsylvania, M.S. from UC Berkeley, and B.S. from Rutgers University. His research interests are in operations research, data mining, forecasting, and hybrid analytical modeling. He has previously taught at University of Pennsylvania. Once upon a time, he placed 2nd in the nation in Tae Kwon Do, and represented NY Tennis Team in Korean-American Olympics.
